Commercial Precinct

Techport Australia’s Commercial Precinct offers an outstanding opportunity for businesses to locate alongside anchor tenant ASC – holder of the $8 billion Air Warfare Destroyer build contract and multi-billion dollar Collins class submarine fleet through-life-support contract.

The precinct will bring together a critical mass of high-end naval and defence expertise, supporting the design, construction and systems integration activities needed to deliver complex defence programs at Techport Australia.

In addition to the Maritime Skills Centre and the Air Warfare Destroyer Systems Centre, the commercial precinct will house a combination of office, convenience retail and education facilities across two sites, creating a vibrant focal point for Techport Australia.

In November final agreements were signed between the State Government, AWD Alliance, Raytheon Australia and Prime Space Projects signalling the go-ahead for contruction to commence.

SABRENet, a high-speed optical fibre network, will link the precinct to major defence and education facilities across South Australia enabling research grade data transmission.
