A founder and longstanding executive of South Australia’s most successful engineering firm, consultants Kinhill Pty Ltd, civil engineer Malcolm Kinnaird has played a significant role in the development of South Australia over the past five decades. During that time, in addition to driving Kinhill’s international growth, he maintained a high-level involvement in the wider business and professional arena. He also served on government advisory bodies and shared his expertise with community and charitable organisations. In 1991, Malcolm Kinnaird was awarded an AO for his services to engineering and the community. Now retained as a consultant to KBR (Kellogg Brown & Root Pty Ltd), which acquired Kinhill in 1997, he is chairman of four major company boards including Adelaide Brighton Limited; director of three, including United Water International Pty Ltd; and provides advice to both State and Federal Governments in a range of defence and infrastructure development areas.
