Commercial Precinct

Techport Australia's Commercial Precinct brings together a critical mass of high-end naval and defence expertise.

The Commercial Precinct is a hub for companies supporting the design, construction and systems integration activities needed to deliver complex defence programs at Techport Australia. Anchor tenants include the Air Warfare Destroyer Alliance, Raytheon Australia and the Maritime Skills Centre.

The precinct is linked via SABRENet, the state’s high-speed optical fibre broadband network, to all major education and research and development facilities across Adelaide including:

  • University of Adelaide
  • Flinders University
  • University of South Australia
  • TAFE campuses
  • Technology Park Adelaide
  • Edinburgh Defence Precinct
  • Defence Science and Technology Group.

With scope for additional purpose-built facilities, the precinct offers a unique opportunity for future program, design and system engineering activities to locate at the epicentre of Australia's naval shipbuilding capability.
