AWD Systems Centre

The AWD Systems Centre is the engine room of the nation building Air Warfare Destroyer project – the most complex ship construction project undertaken in Australia.

This state-of-the-art project management, engineering and commercial headquarters of the AWD project houses AWD Alliance partners: the Department of Defence, lead shipbuilder ASC, and mission systems integrator Raytheon Australia; as well as capability partners: Navantia, the United States Navy and Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Overlooking the ASC shipyard, it provides a high-tech hub where about 400 expert naval architects, project managers, combat systems engineers, logistics teams, planners and procurement specialists are working together to deliver the most powerful and advanced warships Australia has operated.
