The Air Warfare Destroyer (AWD) project is the most complex Defence project ever undertaken in Australia.
The AWD project has successfully completed the detailed design phase and full block production is underway with peak years running from 2009-10 to 2012-13. Over these years, the AWD project will make an annual average contribution of some $292 million and almost 1800 jobs to the state’s economy.
