Industry
The AWD project is the most complex ever undertaken by Defence in Australia. A key aim of this nation-building project is to ensure the benefits to industry are maximised to enhance Australia’s strategic industrial base.
Australian industry will deliver around 55 per cent of the products and services that must be delivered under the AWD Alliance. This will be followed by high-value through-life support contracts with local industry working on maintaining and upgrading the AWDs into the middle of the century.
The AWD Alliance has engaged the Industry Capability Network (ICN) to provide an advanced suppliers portal, allowing for the efficient collection and retrieval of data about companies interested in supplying to the AWD Program.
