AWD Systems Centre
The AWD Systems Centre is the hub of the AWD project accommodating AWD Alliance partners, the Defence Materiel Organisation, Shipbuilder ASC, Hobart Class Combat System Systems Engineer Raytheon Australia and capability partner representatives. The Alliance is managing the design, schedule, budgets and major procurements of the AWD project.

Maritime Skills Centre
The Maritime Skills Centre provides technical and trade skills for the AWD project and when capacity permits, is available for third party commercial training activities.
PMB Defence is a leading supplier of high-quality energy and specialised engineering solutions for submarine platforms. PMB Defence began in 1989 as Pacific Marine Batteries with a sole focus on producing the main storage battery for the Collins class submarine, which it has done continously since. At the same time, PMB has grown its in-country engineering capability to evolve into a supplier of engineering services and battery and niche product solutions for current and future submarine capabilities. PMB has been engaged by the Department of Defence on the Future Submarine program, and continues to provide product and services to the Collins fleet from its state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Techport Australia.
Babcock is a market leader in the design, supply and support of naval systems. Working with Raytheon and ASC, Babcock has delivered key systems for the AWD project from its Techport Australia facility. Babcock also provides support to ASC to maintain the Collins class submarines and is providing highly specialised engineering advice to the Department of Defence on the Future Submarine program.
Ferrocut is one of South Australia’s leading profile cutters. The company provides services and products to a range of sectors including defence, mining, construction and specialist fabrication and is delivering cut steel plate for the AWD project.

National Crane Hire/McAleese Transport conduct mobile crane hire and heavy haulage operations and is establishing their South Australian head office at Techport Australia.
